Your Wheel provider may order routine lab work, before starting or continuing certain medications. This helps make sure your treatment plan is safe and effective for you.
- Check your messages in the Omada app. If your Wheel provider orders labs, you’ll get a message letting you know which tests were ordered.
- Tap Get Lab Order from the message. You can also find this anytime by going to Health, then Care Plan, and opening the message icon.
- Tap Schedule Appointment to find a nearby Quest Diagnostics location and book a time that works for you.
- Choose how you’d like to pay for your labs. Omada does not cover the cost of lab work, so when the scheduler asks “What is your primary insurance information?” you can use your insurance if you’d like to. Tap Provide later, or choose “I’ll save time and provide it now,” “The person being tested will bring it to the appointment,” or “The person being tested doesn’t have insurance.”
Please note: Using your insurance for your labs is optional. Omada does not require it, and your choice does not affect your Flex Care eligibility or your prescription
- Complete your labs before your next refill visit. Lab work is typically needed before your second prescription refill visit, so it’s a good idea to schedule your appointment as soon as you get the order.
Please note: If you have outstanding labs, you may see a reminder on your Care Plan until they’re completed.
