-
To add a photo while tracking a new meal, first click the photo icon in the “Describe your meal” bar.
- For support on how to track a meal, please see this guide.
-
Your app will open to the camera.
- To take a new photo, center your meal with the camera and click the capture button.
- To add a saved photo from your phone, click the photo library icon in the bottom left of the page. This will open your photo album and you can select the photo you want to upload
- Please note: If it’s your first time using the meal photo feature, you may see a pop up asking for permission to access your camera. Tap Allow.
-
Once the photo is added, we use AI to identify the food in the photo.
- If you don’t want AI to identify your food, you should describe it by typing it in using the search bar. AI may still be used to estimate the macronutrients if the item cannot be found in our food database.
- You are able to delete any items that AI suggests.
-
After allowing use of AI, the photo will be analyzed and the food items will be added to your meal, along with the photo you took.
- From here, you can edit or delete items, or add additional items that may have been missed.
- Click “Track meal” to finish tracking your meal. The photo will be saved on your meal log and your health coach will be able to see it.
- To add a photo to a previously logged meal, first click into the meal from your Meal log.
- Click “Edit meal” and then click “Add more” at the bottom of your meal items. This will bring you back to the camera flow as outlined in step 2 of this guide.
- After adding the photo, you will see it attached to your meal and you can make any edits needed. Click “Save changes” to save the photo with your meal.
