Some benefits you can expect include:
- Real-time conversation with an on-call Omada CDE about very high and very low readings and why they may have occurred.
- Education that may help to prevent very high or very low readings in the future.
- An opportunity to discuss any symptoms you may be having.
- Additional information from the CDE for you to consider as you determine whether you need further help, emergency services, or would like to schedule a visit with your Primary Care Provider.
What to keep in mind:
- Phone calls may be disruptive (e.g., if you’re out to dinner, in a meeting, getting ready for bed).
- Omada on-call CDEs are unable to recommend changes in medication regimens but may discuss your current prescribed medication plan.
- If your blood glucose readings are commonly ≥399 mg/dL and this is “typical” for you, 24/7 Blood Glucose Phone Support may not be helpful for you. Your regular Primary Care Provider can help you decide if 24/7 support would be beneficial for you.
Please note that Omada does not provide emergency assistance. Omada does not replace 911, your healthcare provider, advice nurse, or any other emergency support. Omada does not make medical assessments, provide medication recommendations, or discuss other conditions.
If you have questions regarding any medical condition, always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified healthcare provider. In the event of a medical emergency, call a doctor or 911 immediately.
