If you would like to track your meals or snacks, please download the Omada app on your mobile device and follow the instructions below.
- Tap the Food icon under Daily Tracking. This will take you to your Food & drinks hub.
- If you are tracking a new meal for today, you can easily choose the meal type under “Today's meals” on the Explore page.
- If you’d like to enter a meal(s) you’ve previously entered, select Go-to meal at the bottom of your Explore page.
- If you need to enter meals for a previous date, navigate to your Meal log and toggle between the previous days by swiping right (or clicking “<”) at the top of your screen until you reach your desired date.
- Please note you will not be able to enter a meal for a future date.
- Back on the Explore page, choose the type of meal(s) you would like to enter by tapping Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack.
- To manually type in your meal, search your desired meal in the “describe your meal” bar. You can also add a previously tracked meal by clicking on the item in the “Quick track” list.
- Tap to add the suggested meal(s). Tap the arrow to continue once you have added all your meal information.
- If you prefer to track your meals by uploading a photo, scan a barcode, or by voice you can use the buttons located in the “describe your meal” bar.
- If you’d like to add a photo, please follow the directions in this guide.
- If you’d like to scan a barcode, select the barcode next to the camera icon.
- Place your item in front of your camera to scan.
- If you’d like to track your meal by speaking a description, select the voice icon
- We use AI to identify the food in the description you provide.If you don’t want AI to identify your food, you should describe it by typing it in using the search bar. (AI may still be used to estimate the macro nutrients if the item cannot be found in our food database.)
- After you’ve added your meal, you can review the list of items and make changes. Then click “Track Meal” to save the meal to your meal log.
- To add more items, click “Add more” at the bottom.
- To change the date, time or meal type, select the dropdown
- After your meal is tracked, the next page allows you to add more details about your meal to help you and your health coach spot patterns in your eating behaviors.
- Here you can complete the following optional actions:
- Select the Preparation method.
- Include any tags to your meal such as celebration, craved food, gave me energy, etc.
- Select your Fullness after your meal.
- Save this meal as a go-to meal.
- Here you can complete the following optional actions:
- Tap Finish once you are done entering all desired items.
- Once you tap Finish, you will see a page that provides AI generated feedback on your meal, as well as a summary of your meal composition and nutrients.
- From here, you can either track another meal or click “Done” and you will be navigated back to the Explore page with the meal you just tracked checked off.
- If you review your meal again at a later time, you can click on the meal in the Today’s meals list, or from your Meal log.
Please note: If you eat at different times, you can use the same category (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, or Snack) multiple times. You do not have to add all of your meals under one category for the same time.
