Before you refill your GLP-1 prescription, it’s important to confirm you’ve met your employer’s requirements. This helps avoid delays at the pharmacy so you can stay on track with your care.
Here’s what you need to know—and some tips to make it simple.
Enrollment and engagement requirements
Most employers require that you:
- Enroll in Omada → Learn how to complete enrollment
- Stay engaged with Omada → Check your in-app tracker to see what your engagement requirements are and how you’re progressing
Requirements vary by employer. Always confirm what applies to you in your in-app tracker.
How and when we check your engagement status
Omada checks your engagement progress on the monthaversary of when you start your program.
Here’s how it works:
- You first apply, set up your account, and are placed into a group with your coach.
- Your program officially begins on a Sunday—whatever date that Sunday falls on becomes your “monthaversary.”
- Each month, on that same date, we check whether you’ve met your engagement requirements.
- If you’ve met your requirements: We notify CVS within 1 day that you’re eligible, and you’ll have 31 days to pick up your prescription.
- If you haven’t met your requirements on your monthaversary: Don’t worry. We’ll check your status every day until you meet your requirements. As soon as you do, we’ll notify CVS within 1 day.
To keep your coverage uninterrupted, you should aim to meet your upcoming requirements by your next monthaversary. You can always track your real-time progress in the in-app tracker.
How we calculate your Omada activities
To avoid gaps in coverage, you’ll need to meet your requirements on a rolling 31-day basis.
That means when we check your engagement status, we always look at the 31 days before to see if you’ve met your requirements.
Example:
- On April 17, the window covers March 19 → April 17
- On April 18, it shifts to March 20 → April 18
Note: If you have both Omada activity and weigh-in requirements, only one activity and one weigh-in count per day. Weigh-in requirements are separate from activity requirements, so you can get credit for stepping on the scale and being active in Omada on the same day.
If you only have Omada activity requirements, only one activity counts per day. Completing multiple activities in a day will still count as one.
Some activities you’ve already done may also count for your upcoming engagement check if they are still within 31 days of your next check date. If an activity is older than 31 days, it will not count and will be automatically dropped.
The in-app tracker shows exactly where you stand—both for your current coverage requirement and your upcoming requirement—so you always know if you’re on track.
Tips to stay on track
- Use the tracker. The in-app tracker shows your real-time progress.
- Build a cushion. Aim for more than the minimum to avoid last-minute stress.
- Catch up if needed. You can log or weigh in multiple times in one week to get back on track.
Bonus: Regular engagement doesn’t just help with coverage—it also supports your health goals!

Timing matters
Try to complete your requirements at least 1 day before your refill.
- Once completed, your status is automatically sent to your pharmacy insurance
- Updates usually show same day, but allow 24 hours before going to the pharmacy
