The BioTel Blood Glucose Meter will be fully deactivated on 10/31/2024.
If you have a BioTel Blood Glucose Meter, you should have received an email communication from us regarding the plan of discontinuation from this device.
Why is BioTel being discontinued?
We have determined that sunsetting the BioTel blood glucose meter will help to streamline and improve our members’ experience. We apologize in advance for any disruption this may cause.
Which meter will I need to use now to take my readings?
You should have received communication via email to opt in and receive a new Mio blood glucose meter. If you did not receive the email or a replacement device, please reach out to our Support team by clicking on the Contact Us button below.
Also note, the new Mio device ID will not be located on your meter. For future troubleshooting, we recommend taking a photo of the device ICCID number located on the box of your new meter for reference.
What should I do with my current BioTel meter?
You are welcome to keep your BioTel meter or dispose of it at your nearest e-waste center.
Will my BioTel test strips and lancets work with my new Mio blood glucose meter?
Please note, the supplies for this new device are not interchangeable with those of your current device. You will need to use the new device and supplies included to ensure your readings continue to transmit to your account.
What if I want to continue using my BioTel meter?
You are welcome to keep using your BioTel meter, but please note that this device will be deactivated from your Omada account by 10/31/2024 so your readings will no longer transmit. You can manually enter your readings by following this guide.
We will no longer be able to provide test strip and lancet refills for your BioTel device after 10/31/2024. You can contact BioTel by calling their customer support team directly at 888-666-4530 to purchase them.
