Multi-factor authentication (MFA) is a method of confirming a user's claimed identity in which a computer user is granted access only after successfully presenting two or more pieces of evidence (from SMS, email, authenticator, etc.) to an authentication mechanism.
In order to enable MFA, you will need to:
- Log in to Omada from a web browser at https://app.omadahealth.com/login.
- From the left-side panel, navigate to the Settings tab.
- Navigate to Log In and click Learn More.
Follow the prompts to download an authenticator app to your phone. We recommend:
- Google Authenticator
- Play Store (Android)
- App Store (iOS)
- Authy
- Play Store (Android)
- App Store (iOS)
- Scan the QR code or input the long code to create the connection between the authenticator and Omada:
2. After the connection has been established, you will be asked to enter the 6 digit code from the authenticator app to confirm that it works.
3. A pop up should confirm that your 2 Step Verification is now Active.
Here are a few things to remember:
-
If using multi-factor authentication to log in to the mobile app, please be sure to download the latest version of the mobile app in order to be able to log in successfully.
-
These codes expire every 30 seconds within the authenticator app.
- After 5 more incorrect codes, you will be sent back to the log in page to retry the login process.
- After 5 or more minutes, you will be sent back to the log in page to retry the login process.
